All-Ukrainian Essay Competition “1000 Days of War”

Students of the Prydniprovskyi Metallurgical Applied College took part in the All-Ukrainian essay competition “1000 Days of War,” organized by the “Voices of Peace” Museum of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. The competition aimed to give a voice to the young generation who are experiencing the war not from textbooks but in real life.

In their essays, students shared personal reflections, emotions, and hopes that accompanied them throughout the thousand days of the full-scale invasion, including stories of fear, loss, support, and belief in victory.

National Media Literacy Project "Filter"

First- and second-year students participated in the National Media Literacy Project "Filter", initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, by taking part in the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Video Reports "Reporter – 2024".

Students prepared short video reports on the following topics:

• "Culture is Us": highlighting local traditions and artists;
• "Mental Health as a Guarantee of Resilience";
• "My Superheroes": stories of inspiring individuals.

Student Self-Government in the “aGAIN 3.0” Program (UNDP)

The student self-government team submitted an application and was selected to participate in the UNDP workshop "aGAIN 3.0". After completing the training, participants initiated a survey and developed a grant project "New Study – What Students Need".

The goal is to modernize the educational process by providing training for teachers in modern teaching methods to enhance learning effectiveness and improve mutual understanding between students and lecturers.

International Environmental Competition

Teachers Nataliia Kramar and Kateryna Khavikova organized the participation of first-year students in the international competition "From Ecological Anxiety to Ecological Action and Empowerment," held by the Trust for Sustainable Living.

Students worked on a research project "Climate change and 'Green' metallurgy," focusing on the environmental challenges of Kamianske. They analyzed anthropogenic impacts and developed proposals for implementing "green metallurgy" principles through waste recycling and pollution reduction.

Grant Competition "Newest Intellect of Ukraine"

Under the guidance of teachers Elina Kobzeva and Iryna Bryzhalova, first- and second-year students participated in the grant project organized by the public initiative "Newest Intellect of Ukraine".

Students presented ideas in two categories:

• "Thematic Research Competition" — focusing on socio-economic development;
• "Creation of Business Ideas for Charitable Foundations" — focusing on social entrepreneurship.

"MOTIVATION OF THE UNBROKEN 3.0" Competition

College teacher Zoreslava Osada took part in the social competition “MOTIVATION OF THE UNBROKEN 3.0: Development Vector,” aimed at supporting educational institutions. Based on research and analysis conducted during the competition, the institution developed its own “Improvement Plan for 2025–2026”.

LikesID Grant Program

Students participated in the grant program "Responsible Use of Social Networks: Challenges and Opportunities", organized by the LikesID platform.

As part of the program, participants prepared essays on the topic “Digital Compass: How Responsible Use of Social Media Shapes My Path to Success” to showcase a personal perspective on digital behavior and conscious information consumption.

Grant Competition “Time to Act, Ukraine!”

Teachers of electrical engineering disciplines submitted the project “Electrical Power Laboratory” to the grant competition organized by the charitable organization “MHP-Gromadi”.

The project involves purchasing training stands that simulate the operation of a heat pump and a solar power system to modernize the educational environment and enhance the quality of training.

Multi-Donor Initiative Skills4Recovery

The college became an active participant in the Multi-Donor Initiative Skills4Recovery, a large-scale program for the recovery of Ukrainian vocational education. The program is implemented by GIZ and SFPL with the financial support of the EU, Germany, Poland, and Estonia.

The college submitted a project proposing innovative solutions in the training of specialists for the construction industry, supporting the sustainable development of Ukraine’s economy.
